Winter can be a tough one in New York City. Houseplants can really make a difference - the more the merrier in our home. I'm also kind of terrible at keeping them alive and healthy. I feel terribly guilty if one dies. I found this article on Apartment Therapy with a list of hard to kill plants. My personal favorite has become the snake plant. At first glance, I didn't love it but I finally brought one home and it looks incredible. It's the healthiest plant I've ever had. If you like a modern home, you'll love this plant. I put mine in a white ceramic planter pot.
