Please note that everyone is unique in their sizing so it is important to follow the measuring guide if you are looking for a perfect length unique to you.

What You’ll Need to Measure

Before you begin, gather:

  • A piece of thread, string, or thin ribbon
  • A ruler or measuring tape
  • A mirror (optional, for checking placement)

How to Measure Necklace or Bracelet Size

1. Wrap the String

  • Necklaces: Loop the string around your neck to where you'd like the pendant or chain to sit—collarbone, chest, or longer.
  • Bracelets: Wrap around your wrist where you'd like the bracelet to rest—snug or slightly loose.

2. Mark the Length

  • Pinch or cut the string at the exact point where both ends meet.
  • This marks your ideal jewelry length.

3. Measure the String

  • Lay it flat against a ruler or tape measure.
  • Write down the measurement in inches—this is the size to order.

Pro Tip
If you're between sizes, go up a half an inch for comfort.

Materials & Care

14k gold filled: A thick layer of 14k gold permanently bonded to a brass core. It has far more gold than gold-plated jewelry, so it won’t flake, peel, or rub off with everyday wear.

Sterling silver: Solid .925 silver. If it darkens over time, a quick rub with a polishing cloth brings the shine right back.

14k rose gold filled: Made the same way as our gold filled, with a warm rose-gold tone.

14k solid gold: Solid gold through and through, made to last a lifetime.

Gemstones: Every stone is genuine. Natural gemstones vary slightly in color and shape, so each piece is one of a kind.

Care: Put your jewelry on last and take it off first, after lotion, perfume, and makeup. Remove it before workouts, swimming, and bed. Clean it with warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth. Store it in a dry pouch or sealed in the plastic baggie provided; sealed is best for sterling silver, which stays brightest when worn often.

Returns & Repairs

Returns & exchanges: Return or exchange unworn pieces within 30 days of delivery. See our full Returns & Exchanges policy for details.

Custom designs: Some pieces are made entirely to your specifications, like a beaded bar with a gemstone combination you choose, or a length much shorter or longer than our standard sizes. Because they can’t be resold, custom designs are final sale. Hand-stamped initial pieces can be returned like any other piece.

Repairs: We stand behind everything we make. If your piece breaks, we’ll repair it free within 6 months of purchase; you just cover shipping.

Gift Packaging

Every order arrives gift-ready: your piece is packed in a Lolabean box with a To/From gift card, all wrapped in tissue paper with your packing slip. The back of the card tells the story of our NYC studio, so your recipient knows their piece was handmade for them.

Personal notes: Add a message of up to 200 characters at checkout, and we’ll handwrite it on the card.

Gift receipts: Packing slips never show prices, so you can ship straight to the recipient.
