cactus love
Everywhere I look on Pinterest I see tons of cactus in homes. I love them but the mother in me sees my boys running and playing then falling headfirst into that dreadful thorn. I'm totally tempted though... hmm...
floral, green and dried arrangements
I found these beautiful arrangements online. I like an alternative to a floral arrangement by using greenery and dried flowers. The last image is really beautiful using a vase to expose the roots and soil.
dark exteriors
We're on the hunt for a country house somewhere upstate New York - a place we can get away to but not too far from the city. Very daunting for me since I've lived in a small apartment my entire adult life. Craig was born on the upper east side and has lived in our apartment since he was 3 years old! I love these small, cozy homes with dark exteriors. I would love to have a flat roof but definitely not happening in the northeast.
cozy fireplaces
It is totally freezing here in New York. These fireplaces both faux and real look super cozy. The last image reminds me of my Grandparent's home in Tennessee. They lived in the country and had an old stove similar to this in the middle of their living room and I believe it had a kettle on top too.
